CS8 Gets an Upgrade — Meet Firmware v1.18.A
We're excited to announce the latest firmware update for your CampSnap CS8 camera. This update enhances the Analog Effect mode that comes with your CS8 camera, adding more realistic blur, halation's, and additional film-like artifacts for an even more nostalgic look and feel.

Download the Update File
CS8 Analog Filter Update (v1.18.A).
Your file should look exactly like this: FW98565A.bin
Make sure there are no extra numbers in the file name.
If you see FW98565A(1).bin or FW98565A(2).bin, delete the duplicates and keep only FW98565A.bin.
Do not open the .BIN file. -
Plug In Your CS8
Connect your CS8 to your computer using the included USB cable.
If using your own cable, make sure it is a data cable and not a charge-only cable. -
Open Your CS8 Drive
Mac: Find the CS8 on your desktop or in Finder.
Windows: Open File Explorer and click on the CS8 drive. -
Install the Update
Drag and drop the FW98565A.bin file into the main folder of the CS8 (the root directory).
Do NOT place it inside the DCIM folder. -
Update the Camera
Unplug the CS8 and power it on.
The screen will go dark for about 20 seconds while the update installs. -
Verify!
Your CS8 now has the upgraded Analog Mode with improved blur and analog artifacts. Enjoy shooting!
hold down the mode button on the side of the CS8 a green menu pops up that shows a the current version number!
